About the event

Join the "PBCLS 2025 City Nature Challenge" Project! The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. It’s a BioBlitz-style competition where cities are in a friendly contest with each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people. We are competing globally as South Florida, which encompasses Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. In 2024, South FL region finished in 7th place overall for species count, 16th place for observation count, and 24th place for the number of participants. That's out of 690 geographic locations around the world! Observation period: April 25-28 Identification period: April 29-May 4 How to participate: Download the free iNaturalist app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Under “Projects”, search “PBCLS 2025 City Nature Challenge”…
